Johnny Depp, 58, created a TikTok account a week after winning a libel lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Gerd. And within 24 hours he had more than 7 million followers.
So far, Depp hasn’t subscribed to anyone. The only information he has shared so far is his name, photo and the words “professional actor.”
Previously, after winning a court case against his ex-wife, Johnny said he intends to return to big cinema. The former “Pirates of the Caribbean” star, who was expelled from the franchise because of allegations of violence from his ex-wife, hopes to resume his career. Depp received strong public support during the trial.
By the way, the ex-wife didn’t get past Johnny’s first post. Amber Gerd reacted sharply to Johnny Depp’s first-ever TikTok video, in which the actor said he was “moving forward,” according to the Mirror. In his first post, the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star addressed his “precious, loyal and adamant” fans.
“We’ve been everywhere together, we’ve seen everything together. We’ve gone the same way together. We did the right thing together, all because you care,” Depp wrote.
A representative for Gerd responded to Depp’s message in a statement, saying: “As Johnny Depp says he is ‘moving forward,’ women’s rights are rolling back. The verdict’s message to victims of domestic violence … be afraid to stand up and speak out.”
In all likelihood, registering on the popular social network and being active on it will help Depp rebuild his image going forward.
